Broncos secure commitment from big-time ‘backer out of Oklahoma

NCAA Football: Boise State at Colorado State Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

In Boise State’s storied history with the state of Oklahoma (well, forget about that OSU game, alright...), we’ve come to expect interesting things to occur when the Sooner State is involved. Today, the Broncos dove into Oklahoma City to secure the commitment of linebacker Rejhan Tatum (6’2” 224 lbs).

Tatum had a final three of Oklahoma State, Baylor, and (obviously) Boise State and as of yesterday, no one really seemed to know what direction he was leaning. The midweek “Go Broncos” by Coach Harsin hinted that someone had pulled the trigger, but scouring the “crystal ball” picks on 247 led many to believe it was another recruit. Pleasantly surprising, Tatum appears to be for whom that bell tolled. He joins commit Jai Jones in the ‘21 linebacker class and both are highly-rated and should become a impactful duo in the future if he holds true to his commitment. The big ‘backer is rated an 87 (high 3-star) by 247Sports and had scholarship offers from Baylor, Kansas, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Tulsa, and UTSA and you can watch his junior highlights below:
