Volume discount: Boise State gets commits from three defensive linemen

With a recruiting surge inspired by Pringles, the Boise State football team received commitments from three junior college defensive linemen over the weekend. They are listed below in order of hugeness:

  • DT Edmund Faimalo, Sacramento City College, 6-foot-2, 285 pounds
  • DE Antoine Turner, Fullerton College, 6-foot-3, 275 pounds
  • DE Rondell McNair, Contra Costa College, 6-foot-4, 250 pounds

Faimalo was in town over the weekend and jumped at the offer from Boise State on Saturday. Turner and McNair signed on earlier in the day, so you can only imagine the toll Bryan Harsin's Twitter account took. So many GO BRONCOS Tweets. So much caps lock.

This mass of defensive line depth comes just a couple days after DT Deuce Mataele was reinstated to the team, giving the Broncos more big old bodies than it knows what to do with. Mataele will be eligible to play in 2015; the other three could be starring on football fields this fall.

Reminder: Demarcus Lawrence was a JC transfer on the D-line, and things worked out pretty well there.
