Less than two weeks. Again, FOOTBALL WILL BE HERE NEXT WEEKEND! To that point, let’s get to the man inhabiting the slot 10 days out from Corvallis— QB Taylen Green.
#10, Taylen Green, Redshirt Freshman, Quarterback

Stats
Height: 6’6”
Weight: 220 lbs.
High school: Lewisville (Texas)
How’d he get to the Blue™?
Green was offered on June 30, 2020 and committed less than three weeks later. He said Boise State was a dream school and as part of its appeal noted the ability to develop players. That component will likely be a major part of Green’s career. He received no Power 5 offers (Central Michigan, Marshall, San Diego State among the ones he had), despite being rated by ESPN as the #21 dual-threat QB coming out of high school. He was also one of the top 100 high school prospects in one the most talent-dense states for football players: Texas.
Nickname
“Money”
He’s Green, he’s green (newbie), but like all good investments, if there’s some patience and care, there’s plenty of reason to believe he’s going to pay off mightily.
Look-a-like

Actor, RJ Cyler.
Career Highlights
He had a 17 yard run vs Fresno last year, but debuted in a game against Utah State earlier in the season where he was thisclose to scoring.
Expect more highlights to come but, in the meantime, his high school stats and highlights are not at all unimpressive.

2022 Prospectus
Taylen gets mentioned a lot as being one of the top two fastest players on the team (along with Austin Bolt). As a quarterback, he will be one of the backups to Hank Bachmeier and given the opportunity to continue to develop. That said, his skillset and measurables are not something we’ve seen often at Boise State. While we’ve had some tall QBs and some fast QBs, we haven’t had any I can recall that were both. It’s already been discussed, so this won’t shock anyone, but he will absolutely have some packages in the offense designed around his skillset that will get him on the field at times this year.
Is he on Twitter?
Yes! @TaylenGreen17.
