NEARLY half way done. How the heck did that happen? Ah well, I won’t argue with progress. With 51 days left, here’s #51 on the Boise State roster—Dalton Lins
#51, Dalton Lins, RS Senior, OL

Stats
Height: 6’1”
Weight: 285 lbs (-21)
High School: Lahainaluna High School (Lahaina, HI)
How’d he get to The BlueTM?
While a bit small for today’s prototypical lineman, Lins was targeted by (former) Coach Kauhaahaha in 2017. Coach K leveraged his contacts & knowledge of football on the islands to find the highly-praised but slightly undersized Lins. Dalton committed (walked-on) in June of 2018 and showed up in time for fall camp, and the rest is history.
Nickname
”Linsanity”
Look-alike

With the new mullet, can’t help but get some Matt Paradis vibes.
Career highlights
Played in 9 games for the Broncos in 2021. Mountain West Scholar Athlete (2020-21). He was the recipient of the 2017 Arthur Osamu “Oscar” Chihara Scholarship Award, which recognizes the senior Luna player that most exemplifies the spirit of Lahainaluna football.
2022 Prospectus
Last season, I kinda wrote Lins off as he wasn’t part of my projected “two deep” but he appeared in 9 games last season and “ran with the 2s” in spring ball, so it’s very possible that we see a decent amount of #51 in 2022. While I still don’t think he cracks the starting lineup, I think since keeping fresh legs and providing backups for dents and dings is still high on the priority list, he probably finishes out his Boise State career on a high note—appearing in 9 or 10 games for the good guys and helping the O-line continue to improve (knocking on wood).
Is he on Twitter?
Yeah, but “active”, he’s not. Good man. (@daltonllins)
Completely made up fact
Dalton’s arts and crafts store “LinsCrafters” was short-lived as it ended up being sued by not one, but two other chains.
