Happy Monday! I hope you are all ready for a productive week of countdown watching. Todays entry technically doesn’t have a number yet has he signed back in December. So we are setting him here to fill a space (which I hope he does on the football field soon). With just 68 days until kickoff we have—OL Tyson Molio’o
#68, Tyson Molio’o, Freshman, OL
Height: 6’ 2”
Weight: 292 lbs
High School: St. John Bosco High School, Harbor City, CA
How’d he get to The Blue™?
By being awesome? That’s the assumption anyway. Mr. Molio’o was a three-star recruit per 247sports and rated no. 56 at his position nationally (also per 247 Sports). With St. John Bosco he had a hand in reaching the CIF Southern Section semifinals.
Mr. George Holani and Andrew Simpson are also St. Johns Bosco grads.
Kind of low hanging fruit on this one and obviously unoriginal.
Actor James Kelly III. This is really based on a stretch and the picture above.
In addition to getting to the CIF semifinals, he also made an appearance on the Long Beach Press-Telegram Dream Team. And he earned St. John Bosco High School lineman of the year.
Mr. Molio’o will, probably, ride the pine a bunch this year, if he sees the field at all. There is going to be a bunch of pressure (literally and figuratively) on this position group that one cannot imagine throwing a true freshman to the wolves like that. HOWEVER strange things do happen and freshmen do get the four free games without burning the “free” year. He will either see some time on special teams, see actual meaningful time (we would be in a SUPER bad way if this happened), or nothing. I’m fine with options one and three.
Is he on Twitter?

Completely made up fact
Mr. Molio’o helped develop the dance The Griddy. If you don’t know what that is, don’t bother looking it up.
