The Super Bowl is set and Boise State has a rooting interest!

As the college football off-season still churns (and basketball keeps rolling) the NFL has given us two straight weeks of impressive, tension-filled games.

Continuing last weeks arguably best playoff weekend ever, tonight the AFC and NFC championship games produced winners that depended on the kicking game to win.

Congratulations to both the Cincinnati Bengals and the LA Rams for punching their respective tickets to the Big Game.

But what does that have to do with us? Well, I am glad you asked.

The LA Rams provide a built-in rooting interest for Boise State fans (if you didn’t have one before) in the form of former Boise State great, Donte Deayon.

Seeing as how a Boise State representative seems to guarantee a ring for whoever makes it to the Big Game (John Molchon was on the Tampa Bay roster last year!) it only seems to reason that the odds are looking really good for the Rams in two weeks.

There are plenty of storylines for the NFL to cash in (literally) for the next two weeks: Stafford’s first appearance in 13 seasons; Joe Burrow and the rise of the Bengals; Sean McVay being *checks notes* being slightly younger than me and in a Super Bowl (Side note: both coaches are really young); Donte Deayon being on the LA Rams roster.

So while he didn’t have a recordable state in the NFC championship game, hopefully Mr. Deayon will be able to have an impact in two weeks.
