Today, a good boy got his wings

RIP Cowboy Kohl

In a rather sad and brutal irony after a tee dog shirt was teased today by Homefield Apparel’s Boise State line (and shared on OBNUG), it was announced that “Cowboy Kohl”, the Boise State tee dog has passed away. He was a very good boy and literally batted a thousand on his duties, and his enthusiasm for fetchin’ will be sorely missed on the Boise State sidelines.

Kohl—a rescue—was nationally (perhaps internationally) known for his tee-fetching acumen and was a walking billboard for Positive Pets’ ability to turn rambunctious pups into D1 athletes at the top of their game. Kohl got his own article on SB Nation a few years ago and his own segment on Animal Planet
