Stats

Height: 6’5”

Weight: 310lbs

High School: Churchill County HS (Fallon, NV)

How’d he get to the Blue™?

Ben Dooley was an August 2018 commit for the Broncos as a three-star recruit and the #11 overall prospect out of the state of Nevada. After signing his NLI, Dooley enrolled at Boise State in July 2019, and then redshirted his freshman year. In addition to the Broncos, Dooley held offers from Cal, Nevada, SDSU, and UNLV.

Nickname

“Dr. Do-ALOT”

When Boise State was backed into a corner on the defensive line last year—very nearly unable to field a full roster due to COVID absences—Ben stepped up and did ALOT to help out by shifting to defensive tackle vs Colorado State....unlike the other Eddie Murphy/Robert Downey Jr-esque doctors of “Do____” fame.

Look-a-like

Why mess with a good thing? The lookalike generator indicated the Kingsman, Taron Egerton himself, and who are we to argue?

Career Highlights

As previously mentioned, Dooley was pressed into action as a defensive tackle against Colorado State last year and even logged two tackles. As far as highlights in general, there aren’t typically many of those out there for offensive linemen. You can, however, enjoy some clips of his high school career below:

2021 Prospectus

After backing up Ojukwu at left tackle most of last year, and the departure of Nick Crabtree at right tackle, it seems entirely possible that the right side vacancy could end up being filled by Mr. Dooley.

Is he on Twitter?

If you’re into almost exclusively retweets...yes.

Completely made up fact

Not limited to forays on the defensive line in his moonlighting efforts, Ben also runs a highly successful podcast when not on the football field. In it, he dons some very dignified-looking reading glasses and critiques the essays of leading intellectuals. The podcast is titled “Dooley Noted”.
