Boise State signed the lion’s share of their recruiting class before Bryan Harsin left for muggier climes, and with a small amount of recruiting loose ends to tie up Andy Avalos’s staff has had their work cut out for them. With precious little time (their Director of Recruiting was just officially named last night) and in the age of Covid, it’s probably the most clueless we’ve ever been about signing day...but one answer is already clear—the Broncos like them some Ben Ford. The speedy receiver from just up the road committed to the Broncos last night and has already turned in his ‘21 LOI. Who else will join him? That’s a REALLY good question. We’re gonna find out together!

Cyrus Habibi-Likio, RB
To the transfer portal we go! Running back Cyrus Habibi-Likio—formerly of Oregon—has signed with the Broncos. CHL has been “the closer” for the Ducks the last 3 seasons...where he’s been a redzone menace and scored 21 TDs. The 6’1” 215 lb. back is VERY familiar with Boise State as they were a finalist for his services out of high school and he’s played under Andy Avalos the last two seasons. Welcome aboard (finally) Cyrus! For my money, this might be his best play as a Duck.

Well, that looks like it’s probably gonna do it for today. The Broncos are still eyeing some other spots to add depth/talent too, but are being “patient”, which is a term I’m not familiar with. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention two other local products that will be joining the squad as preferred walk-ons—Jordan Erickson and Ty Tanner, teammates at Meridian’s Rocky Mountain High School.
COMMITTED!! I want to thank my family, friends and coaches who have helped me achieve my dream, and thank you to the coaches at Boise State for giving me this opportunity! Go Broncos! #BleedBlue pic.twitter.com/vCm5DllpP8

Super grateful for the opportunity put before me. I wouldn’t be where I am if it weren’t for my coaches, family, friends, and new coaching staff at BSU. Super excited to say I will be continuing my career at BSU. Go Broncos!!

Thus wraps the shortest NLI day thread ever...but hey, an exciting couple of months awaits if you like recruiting (who doesn’t?)
