No Bowl: Covid spike spikes AZ Bowl for Broncos

There were whispers all morning that the Broncos might be in the danger zone with yet another bowl game and moments ago, Barstool “presidente” Dave Portnoy appears to have confirmed that the Broncos are definitely OUT of the bowl game Friday—citing too many Covid positives to field a competitive team against CMU. This may be serendipitous for CMU, who now is free to possibly take Miami’s spot in the Sun Bowl against WSU (Miami had the same issue the Broncos are now facing)...of course, the Barstool AZ Bowl doesn’t want their bowl to entirely implode either, so really it just simply is what it is. The Broncos—though bowl eligible for the 24th straight season, will nevertheless not play in one for the second straight year and finish their season 7-5. Crazier...the Broncos have played in just one bowl game (to completion, anyway) since 2017 when they defeated Oregon in the Las Vegas Bowl.

If you just wanted to see Khalil Shakir lace ‘em up one last time along some other Broncos...my condolences. It’s Corvallis or bust from here on out.
