How’d he get to the Blue™?
A highly-locally-touted defensive end/tight end in from North Dakota, Jaydn Ewing had originally signed with NDSU for a full ride scholarship, contingent on him serving a two-year mission and joining the team in 2020.

While it’s unclear what exactly happened, Jaydn suddenly popped up as a late roster addition for Boise State, walking on in time to redshirt for the 2019 season. Why go from a full-ride at NDSU to walking on at BSU? Only Jaydn knows.
Ewing moved to Watford City from Boise, ID in the middle of his freshman year.

I would swear to you that in later seasons of Home Improvement, Zachary Ty Bryan rocked a mullet not unlike Jaydn’s, but the internet has failed me. In any event, Jaydn looks like the shaggy version of Zachary, no question.
Career Highlights
While not a nationally ranked recruit, Jaydn Ewing was a big name in North Dakota highschool football. His senior season was marked by 18 sacks and a Senior Athlete of the Year award.

2020 Prospectus
Heading into 2020, defensive end is a weird position for Boise State. The Broncos have had a stream of dominant players come through, but tend to use them in the STUD position instead of defensive end. Somehow, BSU is down to Aisa Kelemete and three redshirt freshman at defensive end; however, combined with the stable of players at STUD, there’s a ton of youth looking to prove itself on defense.
Where does Jaydn Ewing fit into the picture? That is harder to determine, especially with as limited as spring and summer camp have been. At the moment, it’s anyone’s job to win. Jaydn has put on 26lbs since coming to college, and only 2-3 of that appears to have been hair, so it looks like he’s out to win some playing time.
Is he on Twitter?
Our internet detectives have not turned up Jaydn on Twitter. If you have any tips, hit us up in the comments.
Completely made up fact
Jaydn has made use of his time in quarantine to perfect his homemade BBQ sauce and wet ribs. This may explain some of his non-hair weight gain.
