Viewed through the lens of the countdown, today you’ll be viewing Lins on the countdown.
#51, Dalton Lins, Sophomore, OL

Stats
Height: 6’1”
Weight: 300 lbs (+9)
High School: Lahainaluna High School (Lahaina, HI)
How’d he get to The BlueTM?
While a bit small for today’s prototypical lineman, Lins was targeted by Coach Kauhaahaha in 2017. Coach K leveraged his contacts & knowledge of football on the islands to find the highly-praised but slightly undersized Lins. Dalton committed in June of 2018 and showed up in time for fall camp, and the rest is history.
Nickname

Career highlights
As he redshirted the 2018 season, Dalton doesn’t really have a highlight reel in college just yet. He was the recipient of the 2017 Arthur Osamu “Oscar” Chihara Scholarship Award, which recognizes the senior Luna player that most exemplifies the spirit of Lahainaluna football.
2020 Prospectus
This is Lins’ 3rd season with the program, but he’s yet to log any field time. This isn’t necessarily a knock on Lins, as the line was pretty stacked with upperclassmen last season and well, he was just a true frosh in 2018. Lins added bulk and compact frame makes him a tantalizing player to pencil in on the center or guard depth charts—and I think said pencil will definitely be deployed this Fall if football is a go. Lins was a decorated player at Lahaina and did enough there to catch the eye of then-D-line-coach Chad Kauha’aha’a (now at UNLV after a short stint at USC). I’ve already stated my opinion on the O-line shakedown HERE and I think Lins probably will fit in behind Stetz or Harrington (besides, he’s got a “D” name which makes him a perfect fit). It’s going to be a new-look O-line any way you slice it, so I’d expect even some of the “unknowns” to get some minutes when football is finally back.
Is he on Twitter?
Yeah, he’s HERE, but this tweet was more worth sharing and it wasn’t necessarily from his account (he’s tagged, you see)
Our Broncos back in Boise took time to visit the St. Lukes Children Hospital. Well done fellas! #BroncoUp @HarringtonDonte @KoleBailey @Alex_2bner @daltonllins @MarquesEvans pic.twitter.com/42WcmeD0rx
