We all know about Murphy’s Law – Anything that can go wrong will go wrong. But have you heard of Cole’s Law?
It’s thinly sliced cabbage.
Boise State no. 26 in Learfield Director’s Cup Fall Standings
As a casual reminder, these are the rankings that take into account all sports and how well each school’s teams do. These rankings dropped mid-January. So there’s still a bunch to go. But getting no. 26? That’s pretty awesome. And this year will be the first time in 40 years that baseball will be counted for Boise State. That should help in the final rankings.
Not sure if it needs to be said but—yes—Boise State is the highest ranked Mountain West school as of that publication.
Curt Apsey is a top-10 athletic director, apparently
This site ranks athletic directors and, well, Apsey is doing pretty well. I suppose you could take a hint from the Director’s Cup above to get a good clue as to why.
Tyler Rausa: still pretty good at kicking field goals
And showing out for the DC Defenders.
Now @T_Rausa connects from 50 yards! Two 50-plus yard field goals today for the former Boise State kicker.

Getting an NFL kicking gig is super-hard. Perhaps with continued performances like this, Rausa may be able to find himself on a roster.
Should Boise State MBB get an NIT bid?
Definitely maybe?
Boise State should get an NIT bid! #NIT #basketball #MarchMadness

A lot of things need to work out for the team to go to the post-season. It doesn’t sound like the team/administration is too interested in the CBI so it’s the NIT or bust at this point.
