Notable Notes

  • Holani is still listed as the starting tailback...but he also has been since week one. Which was, coincidentally, the last time he played. So, all that (probably) tells us is that he’s not out with anything season-ending, It’s not as though Van Buren can’t be good too, it’s more that it’s better when they’re both available to complement each other. And it’s much better when there’s more than one scholarship tailback active for a game.
  • Ben Dooley is still as an offensive tackle on this chart, but due to horrendous depth against Colorado State, he spent some time on the defensive line last Thursday. Coach Schmedding has not ruled out that it could be necessary for him to do so again.
  • The infamous “-OR-” has been removed from under Nick Crabtree at right tackle, seeming to indicate that it is now his job alone.
  • Keeghan Freeborn has been removed from the depth chart as he is now out for the season with a broken ankle. The depth is further hampered at nose tackle as one of the presumptive backups to him—four star commit, Herbert Gums—is also out for the season with a torn ACL.
  • In further nose tackle news, Scale Igehion and Divine Obichere flip flopped position on the depth chart. So, make of that what you will...
