Predict the score: Boise State vs. Marshall

Oh boy last week was a doozy, eh? Just glad the Broncos came away with a W!

For a recap of the rules:

  • Guess the actual score as close as you can (obviously) but in the event that no one gets the score 100% correct, we are going to go with how close you guys were. Without going over.

What does that mean?

Let’s say the score was Boise State wins 17-10. Person A had 17-13 and Person B had 17-7. Both had Boise State’s score, but whiffed a little on the opposing score. But both were within three of the opposing score. The person who had the guess of 7 wins because that person did not go over.

  • The tiebreakers will go in order below. Again, as close to the actual tiebreaker as possible, even going over. In the unlikely even that the winner isn’t resolved after those, we are going to the ultimate winner: time. I will look at the time stamp and whoever posted first gets the nod.
  • Always choose the Broncos to win. No matter the odds. Picking against the Broncos risks a lifetime ban. I’m kidding of course. But seriously.

Tiebreakers:

  • Holani rushing yards
  • Kaniho tackles
  • Sachse kickoffs

What do I get if I win?

Eternal glory and whatever your heart desires (as long as what your heart desires is an enthusiastic fist pump from me).

What about the Florida State predict the score?

The actual score was Broncos 36-31. And you guys really liked 34-24. So much so that three of you submitted it: boiseburritos, TRiver_rat, mrzp. So we go to tiebreakers. For the record, the third tiebreaker was a joke. Which aren’t really any better. Hightower actual receptions: 2. Weaver tackles: 3. boiseburritos and mrzp had guesses of 6, 8 respectively. Triver_rat had 5, 9. So everyone was on the over and all three had had the same net miss. So, by virtue of literally getting the guess down first: boiseburritos wins! So, boiseburritos, enjoy your eternal glory.

Welp. Consider the above my first quarter because apparently I goofed it. Thanks to the astute boiseburrito it looks like Letthebeatingsresume2011 posted a closer-ish score of 31-28. So that means he is this weeks winner. Let’s hope I do better next week.
