IT’S THE LAST DAY OF THE TEENS!! SQUEEEE! We are less than two weeks out from Bronco football, and I have to imagine Bronco faithful are with me in saying they are ready. Today we check in with #13, Marques Evans.
#13, Marques Evans, RS Sophomore, CB

Stats
Height: 5’ 11”
Weight: 183 lbs (+6 lbs)
High School: Newbury Park High School, Newbury Park, CA
How’d he get to The BlueTM?
Marques was a 3-star CB prospect across the board. He was offered by the Broncos in August of 2016 and committed the next day, despite also holding offers from Nevada and Hawaii.
Nickname
”Biz”
Kinda playing off Drews nickname last year.
Look-alike
A less dreadlocky DeAngelo Williams

Career highlights
So far Marques has appeared in one game for the Broncos, last year against Connecticut.
While at Newbury Park, Marques earned himself All-Camino league and all-county league honors. His senior season he had 38 tackles, 2 interceptions, 10 pass break-ups, 1 fumble recovery and one blocked field goal.
2019 Prospectus
Cornerback will be one of the most watched positions this fall. With the graduation of Tyler Horton, there isn’t necessarily a leader at the position.
Of course, Avery Williams has been solid at the position, so he will be a starter. Jalen Walker has played well at the position, too, so I think most are assuming he claims the other spot.
And that’s it.
Ozziah Williams transferred from Citadel and has experience, so he could see time. Chris Mitchell was highly touted, so I imagine plenty of people will look to him to push for a spot on the two deep. LeBeauf is coming off an injury, Cole is switching over from WR and Reed is fresh out of high school. That leaves Evans left.
I have to think Evans is in a pretty good position here as he’s now a red shirt sophomore. He’s got some experience with the playbook, and while he might not have a ton of experience on the field, he has more than most of the rest.
I expect Evans to push for playing time, but I’m sure we will see plenty of bodies in the mix until later in the season. Time will tell, me thinks.
Is he on Twitter?
He sure is! Reppin’ his alma mater as well!
Oh yea ima have to check that out https://t.co/vZTAyxxZKA

Completely made up fact
Evans is such a huge OBNUG fan that he has been working to get Dairy Queen to sell a churro Blizzard. No such luck yet.
