Wake Up, Bronco Nation: APR and bowl games; Scheduling concerns; A Boise State graduation recap

NCAA Football: Connecticut at Boise State Brian Losness-USA TODAY Sports

I once stopped at a roadside stand that had a sign that read, “lobster tails, $2.”

After I paid my $2, the man said, “Once upon a time there was this lobster...”

APR and bowl games

In case you didn’t know, if there is ever a lack of bowl eligible 6-6 teams, 5-7 teams with good APRs can accept a bowl game. This Sports Illustrated article takes a look at possible teams. This is the top-20 and you will notice a big lack of Boise State here. Which may be a bit deceiving. Boise State football’s single year score is 990. It appears that they are using the multi-year running total, which Boise State has a 979. Not sure if it would have been a top-25 ranking. Anyway, you can check and see which teams may be eligible next year.

College ADs looking to fill their football schedule

There’s been a kerfuffle over recent scheduling because UCF can’t schedule anyone. And so they’re mad at USF scheduling 2-for-1s. Whatever. We’ve been down this road before so it’s all the same stuff.

Did you, or someone you know graduate from Boise State?

I know this is super-belated but congratulations!
