Spring Game tickets for Saturday

Greetings, Nuggies--

I was planning to attend this coming Saturday's spring game. Who wouldn't want to come out and enjoy the afternoon on The Blue, watch our young quarterbacks competing for the position, meet fellow Bronco fans, etc, etc, etc.

But then my other team--the men's basketball squad from my alma mater, the University of Virginia--went and earned a spot in the Final Four in Minneapolis. Even though I'm a hardcore BSU fan, a NCAA championship appearance takes precedence over a spring scrimmage, so I'll be spending Saturday afternoon in front of a television screen watching the Cavaliers take on Auburn.

As a result, I have two free tickets to the spring game, available to the first taker. Be the first to email me at ravdbf@gmail.com and they are yours.

Meanwhile, Nuggies, root for my UVA 'Hoos hoops team. There are at least three good reasons to do so:

1. Auburn is in the SEC. Need I say more?

2. UVA colors are also orange and blue. So all you have to do is wear your BSU gear and you're already in the right spirit.

3. UVA basketball coach Tony Bennett is the hoops version of Coach Pete. Super smart, soft-spoken, strategic genius, humble. And like Coach Pete, he recruits OKGs. While the likes of Duke and Kentucky go after the "one and done" high school superstars who will play for one year and then go on to the NBA, Coach Bennett recruits guys who he can help develop. As a result, for them it is all about the team. No superstars--just fierce defense and unselfish basketball, which is a very rare thing these days.

Go 'Hoos and Go Broncos!
