As Dear Leader pointed out on Twitter, not being hot-pissed over end of the year honors is... different:
Feels weird to not be outraged by All-MWC selections.

But in a basketball year that has been—uhhh—not great, one can expect the end of year accolades to reflect that.
To that end, the Broncos had three names pop up, and nothing better than a third-team nod.

Justinian Jessup with a third-team selection and Derrick Alston along with Alex Hobbs on the Honorable Mentions.
This seems... about right.
Because none of the Players/Coach of the Year involved anyone associated with the Broncos any debate about those possibilities can be saved for some other space.
As it stands, this was a somewhat frustrating year that could have gone better. The bright side is that the Broncos have pieces for growth. And next year should be a legitimate better year, no lip service required. Jessup is coming into his own and Alston has all the makings of being ‘The Man’ for the Broncos. With all the redshirt freshman (hopefully?) seeing the court, plus the transfers, the optimism abounds.
Now, can we work on NOT being the unluckiest team... ever?
