2020 Boise State Recruiting Roundup: 11/4/19

Not gonna lie, I was pretty nervous through most of that game, at least the part I was able to watch. But the Broncos rode it out, mostly on the back of Holani going beast mode. Let’s see how our future Broncos faired this week.

Isaiah Bradford, S, Redlands East Valley HS (Redlands, CA)

In case you missed it, Bradford’s season is over, unfortunately, due to an injury.

REVHS were shut out by Valley 0-35. They remain winless at 0-10. The loss effectively ends Redlands Valley East’s season. On Halloween, an article on Bradford was posted in the LA Times showing his progress and how he’s coping. It sounds like Bradford will be grayshirting due to the surgery time table and recovery.

Brandon Hernandez, OL, Yucaipa HS (Yucaipa, CA)

Yucaipa was shut out by Cajon Friday 0-41, moving to 3-7 on the year. Up to this point, Brandon does have some stats on the defensive side of the ball, totaling 29 tackles, 12 solo, a QB hurry and a pass defended. That looks to be the end of Yucaipa’s 2019 season.

Russell Corrigan, TE, Hutchinson Senior HS (Hutchinson, MN)

Hutchinson advanced to the next round of the playoffs after taking down Marshall 28-14, remaining perfect at 10-0. Still no stats available for Corrigan.

HSHS will play Fridley (10-0) on Friday, 11/8, at 6:00pm. This is a quarterfinal match in the MSHSL - Class AAAA tournament.

Donovan Clark, CB, Lincoln HS (Tacoma, WA)

Lincoln bested Robert Cooper’s Bethel squad 35-21 this week, improving to 7-2 and are on a 7-game winning streak after starting 0-2. No stats for Donovan were available in the win.

The Abes next opponent is Rainier Beach (2-7) this Friday, 11/8 at 7:00pm.

Kaonohi Kaniho, CB, Kahuku HS (Kahuku, HI)

Kahuku has not played since the Mililani playoff game, which they won 7-3.

Kahuku has a bit of a break as their next game isn’t until 11/22 at 4:00pm against Campbell (6-5). They played earlier in the season with Kahuku winning 35-7.

Highlights from the game against Mililani are below.

Nathan Cardona, OG, Yorba Linda HS (yorba Linda, CA)

Yorba Linda handled Canyon on Friday, winning 59-21 to move to 9-1 for the year. Of note in the win, the Mustangs had 460 yards rushing on 49 carries, equating to 9.4 yards per carry. Yowzers. Stats are not generally kept for offensive lineman.

The Mustangs play Citrus Hill (7-3) this Friday, 11/8 at 7:00pm in the first round of the CIF Southern Section High School Football Division 5 Playoffs.

Robert Cooper, DE, Bethel HS (Spanaway, WA)

Bethel lost to Donovan Clark’s Lincoln team on Friday 35-21, moving to 6-3 for the year. The glitch has been fixed on Max Preps and Cooper is listed on the roster. Stats for him are only available through the first four games in which he has 14 total tackles, 4 solo, and a sack.

The Braves play Bishop Blanchet (6-3) this Saturday, 11/9 at 7:00pm.

Nick Booker-Brown, DT, Westfield HS (Houston, TX)

Westfield destroyed Nimitz 52-7 on Thursday, improving to 8-1. Stats weren’t available in the win. Booker-Brown only has stats for the first 3 games, in which he has 20 total tackles, 3 solo, 5 tackles for loss, and 3 sacks.

The Mustangs play Benjamin Davis (the team, not the dude) (3-6) this Friday, 11/8, at 7:00pm.

LaTrell Caples, WR, Lancaster HS (Lancaster, TX)

The Tigers lost to Highland Park 35-42 on Friday, moving to 7-2. Stats weren’t available in the win.

The Tigers play Wilson (3-6) this Friday, 11/8 at 7:30pm.

Riden Leong, OT, Orange Coast College (Honolulu, HI)

The Pirates lost to Grossmont College 18-27 on Saturday, moving to 1-7. Stats aren’t generally kept for offensive lineman.

The Pirates play Riverside this Saturday, 11/9 at 6:00pm.

Chance Luper, WR, Fort Worth Christian HS (North Richlands Hills, TX)

Luper was our most recent silent commit and obviously he made himself known this week. Chance is listed as a consensus 3-star athlete, coming in at 6’2” and 180 lbs. Chance passed on offers from Cal, Boston College, Wake Forest, Kansas, Louisville and Indiana to name a few.

Chance’s Cardinals are 5-4 coming off a 50-11 win over Prince of Peace High School. Stats for Chance in the ‘19-’20 season are not yet available.

The Cardinals play Grapevine Faith Christian this Friday, 11/8, at 7:30pm.

The Broncos get _Yoming at home this week. Keep you eyes peeled for more GO BRONCOS tweets!
