GameThread: Boise State vs Colorado State

NCAA Football: Boise State at Utah State Brian Losness-USA TODAY Sports

The “whiteout” conditions we were all kinda expecting/hoping for didn’t quite play out as CSU enlisted legion to clear the field of snow and debris, but the Broncos will still be rocking their stormtrooper whites hoping to cap their FIRST undefeated in-conference regular season (amazing, ain’t it) with a Black Friday win over Colorado State. Boise State (10-1) doesn’t necessarily have to play an A+ game to get over on the 4-7 Rams...and that’s a good thing since the Broncos will be without a few important pieces—namely Jordan Happle and Markel Reed. Jaylon Henderson will get his 3rd straight start, but as usual we’re told that Chase Cord and Hank Bachmeier are “available”, so we’ll see what happens there.

Besides the undefeated regular conference season, another storyline to keep an eye on is George Holani trying to extend Boise State’s 1,000-yard rusher streak to eleven (he needs 130 yards to do so). Sure, with 3 games left, that seems like a slam dunk, but it’d be cool to take care of that bit of trivia in the regular season. Assuming we’re all wearing our comfy pants, just get cozy and flip to CBS Sports Network for the proceedings. Of course, 670 KBOI will carry the game for you audiophiles.

GO BRONCOS!
