Coach Harsin gets an auto-extension

We already knew this but by winning eight games he automatically gets another year added to his contract. Coaches always have certain benchmarks built in to get incentives. Hilariously enough you can check out a bit of a rundown of UCONN HC Randy Edsall’s contract. It’s pretty great. Not sure if Coach Harsin has a bunch of hidden stuff like that but it seems unlikely.

Broncos move up a few spots in both polls, up to 19 in each

The CFP Poll is still the only one that really matters in the scheme of things concerning the NY6 berth. And, most likely, the Broncos will still trail both Cincinnati and Memphis in that poll. Gentle reminder that both of those teams play each other at the end of November. Navy will—most likely—lose to Notre Dame. And if Navy can beat either of those two squads then things will align nicely for Boise State.

***OBVIOUS DISCLAIMER***: Broncos have to win out. And that could be a tall order with a Logan tilt on the horizon and whoever is coming out of the West Division for the MWC tittle bout. But the Broncos still control every bit of their destiny.

Athletic: Arkansas Head Coach search ($)

As you guys may have heard, Arkansas fired Chad Morris. A bunch of names are going to be tossed out. Feldman has some thoughts and a certain Boise State Head Coach pops up due to his time at Arkansas State. Fun stuff!

Fun! (I get my heading is in direct conflict and the opposite of what they have. But I refuse to combine Boise State and ‘Cowboys.’)
