Bye weeks are a blessing and a curse; we get to enjoy a weekend with less stress and just enjoying the games that are on, but we don’t get to watch our Broncos play. Bye weeks after a loss are always worse, too, because it’s more time to dwell on it. Methinks the Broncos unleash some serious demons on _Yoming this coming weekend. Onto the future!
Hank Bachmeier, QB, Murrieta Valley HS (Murrieta, CA)
The Nighthawks got the W against Buena Park, winning 63-20, moving them to 2-3 for the season. Hank was a stellar 18-24 for 314 yards and 4 TDs. He also had 5 rushes for 32 yards.
Murrieta Valley takes on Chaparral (5-0) this Friday, 9/28, at 7pm.
Casey Kline, ATH, Brawley HS (Brawley, CA)
The Wildcats had a bye last week, but take on Imperial (3-2) 9/28 at 7pm.
Keegan Duncan, RB, Declo HS (Declo, ID)
The Hornets stayed a perfect 5-0 after waxing Teton 42-12. Unfortunately, I could not find stats for Keegan in the win.
Declo has a bye this week, but will take on Fruitland (2-2) on Friday, 10/5, at 7pm.
Jacob Golden, OL, Peoria HS (Peoria, AZ)
The Panthers dropped their first to Desert Edge 22-27, moving to 4-1 on the year. Jacob had 4 total tackles on defense. Most of the offensive damage was done through the air as Peoria only had 61 yards on the ground.
Peoria takes on Poston Butte (2-3) on Friday, 9/28, at 7pm.
Ben Dooley, OL, Churchill County HS (Fallon, NV)
The Greenwave throttled South Tahoe 47-6, improving to 5-0 on the year. Ben and the OL helped contribute to the 237 rushing yards accrued in the win.
CCHS takes on Dayton (0-6) Friday, 9/28, at 7pm.
That’s it for this week. Best of luck to all of the players in the coming week. The Broncos take on _Yoming in Laramie on the 29th. GO BRONCOS!
