It has begun.
The season has started for both our current Broncos and future Broncos. The Broncos put the beatdown on Troy last night in Alabama. What humidty? Troy has not had 50 hung on them since 2014, so there’s that.
Some of our recruits actually played last week, but we will cover that below. Let’s get to it!
Hank Bachmeier, QB, Murrieta Valley HS (Murrieta, CA)
Hank’s Nighthawks have, unfortunately, started the season 0-2. Fortunately, they are not in league play yet.
On 8/17, MVHS lost their season opener to Santiago 27-42. Hank was 23-37 (62.2%) for 319 yards, for 1 TD and 2 INTs. He also had 13 rushes for 47 yards and 3 more touchdowns. Bachmeier accounted for all touchdowns.
Last Friday, 8/31, the Nighthawks lost to Cajon 28-57. Stats for Hank in this game have not yet been posted. I’ll updated next week once I have those.
The Nighthawks will take on San Clemente (1-2) this Friday, 9/7, at 7pm PT.
Casey Kline, ATH, Brawley HS (Brawley, CA)
Casey’s Wildcat squad has played 3 games so far.

Keegan Duncan, RB, Declo HS (Declo, ID)
Duncan’s Declo Hornets started the season 2-0 after wins against Sugar-Salem and Aberdeen.
Against Sugar-Salem on Friday, 8/24, Duncan went down with an injury early, but the Hornets rallied and knocked off Sugar-Salem 16-14.
After trailing 14-0 against #2 ranked 2A Aberdeen, Declo bounced back to win 22-14. Ful stats weren’t available, but Duncan had a crucial 75-yard touchdown run to take the lead. Kudos to Victor Flores for the awesome reporting over at Magic Valley Times News.
Jacob Golden, OL, Peoria HS (Peoria, AZ)
Jacob’s Panthers are off to a 2-0 start for the year after wins over Youngker and Buckeye.
Against Youngker on 8/24, Peoria won 49-6. Jacob had 3 total tackles on defense and helped the Panthers rush for 274 yards on 37 carries and 6 TDs.

The Greenwave is off to a 2-0 start after wins over Spring Creek and Fernley.
Against Spring Creek on 8/24, CCHS won 48-6. Ben helped the Greenwave rush 27 times for 232 yards and 5 TDs.
On 8/31, CCHS shut out Fernley 40-0. Ben helped the Greenwave rush 25 times for 239 yards and 5 TDs.

That’ll do it for this week. Hopefully we can start adding more players to this list soon. Good luck to all the players this week and GO BRONCOS!
