Boise State Game Balls for Week of Sept 9 — Sept 15

Last week had some ups and downs. And there were some good performances. Let’s go.

Game Ball One:

Raime Sherle (soccer)

This is probably the easiest one of the bunch. Ms. Sherle singlehandedly won the Broncos’ match against New Mexico State last Sunday with three goals and getting the Golden Goal in extra time. Mighty impressive for the surefire Boise State Hall of Famer.

Game Ball Two:

Sabryn Roberts (volleyball)

Ms. Roberts helped guide the Broncos’ own volleyball five-team tournament to a 2-2 record. She also got her 1,000th kill in the process. She also made the all-tournament team in the process. The Broncos take their 8-3 record into conference play starting this week.

Game Ball Three:

Brett Rypien (football)

Despite the losing effort, Rypien did all he could to keep the Broncos afloat. He threw for 380 yards, three TDs, and no INTs. Can’t ask for much more than that. He’s shown that he’s a gamer. Just sometimes a whole game is tough to carry on your own.

Your Turn

I know this is a super short one, but it’s hard to write with a broken heart.
