The Broncos baseball team has continued making moves in their coaching staff. Today Gary Van Tol has announced the addition of Brock Huntzinger to the staff:
“Having our pitching coach in place is exciting for everyone, especially the pitchers who will be on campus this fall and the underclassmen who have committed to Boise State,” Van Tol said.
Brock Huntzinger joins Hilton Richardson (hitting coach) as a member of the Boise State baseball team.
Huntzinger looks to bring 10-years of playing experience to the Broncos as he continues his coaching career.

Huntzinger spent 10 years in pro ball -- pitching in the #RedSox, #Rockies, #WhiteSox, #Orioles and #Athletics organizations -- before joining the college ranks to coach.
It will be good to get Huntzinger on the recruiting trail for the Broncos and get him connected with those recruits already committed. This should also help Van Tol in his time allotment for recruiting. Visiting, vetting, talking with current commits, and convincing potential athletes is a time crunch as it stands. Having another coach on board who can pick up some of that load is great.
As it stands, the Broncos will probably add, roughly, two to three more to the baseball staff with possible additions of a volunteer assistant coach, and directors of baseball operations and player development. Numbers and roles are always fluid so additions may vary depending on the school and budget. Fresno State, as an example, lists eight individuals are part of their staff.
Van Tol insanely busy.
