How’d he get to The BlueTM?
Jake Shaddox joined the Broncos as a walk on. He meandered a bit in his athletic career, spending time at Skyview HS in Nampa, before transferring to CA, and then Azusa Pacific at the college level. In 2012, at Foothill, he ran for 1,191 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Nickname
Shady Ox. If that’s not his gamertag by tomorrow, I’ll be personally insulted.
Look-alike
Call me as crazy as you want, but you throw a steady diet of Ruths Chris steaks and a couple decades onto that face and I see a young Jeff Caves. You know, Jeff Caves. Former Bronco and KTIK radio legend.
Career highlights
Presently, Mr. Shaddox has yet to accumulate any stats as a Bronco, but...
2018 Prospectus
While there is the assurance that Alexander Mattison, when healthy, is the undisputed featured running back, there is a weird bit of depth chart tumult behind him. The strange departure of Drake Beasley particularly threw things for a loop. Although Skyler Seibold moved to the backfield from safety—and by all accounts has performed well—unless they burn the redshirt years of either Danny Smith or Andrew VanBuren, the Shady Ox may be one injury/suspension/transfer/position change away from playing time if anything happens to Mattison, Mahone, or Seibold.
Is he on Twitter?
He is indeed, and with a wise take on the recent death of rapper XXXTentacion. Less clear is if he’s bought into the conspiracy theory my niece spent half the weekend trying to convince me of: That Drake had anything to do with it (Warning: Link contains Tweets with NSFW language).
It takes a lot for me to tweet my opinion on certain issues but man I really don’t get some people. I wasn’t an X fan by any means but no matter what, he was a human being who made mistakes like all of us. I’m not justifying anything he did but wishing death on someone is so evil

Completely made up fact
Jake Shaddox was once in a Fortnite battle so intense that the structures created in the match were immortalized in a breathtaking architectural tribute from legendary designer Yansong Ma. The location can only be visited by those that were involved or that have achieved a top ten online ranking.
