The Broncos picked up a huge commitment - literally - in OL Jacob Golden today.
Proud to say that I am committing to Boise Sate University! Thank you to all of the coaches that have recruited me but Boise is the place for me. Bleed blue! pic.twitter.com/aR2NaWGOxy

At 6’6” and 285 lbs, Golden is a massive addition to the 2019 class, joining Hank Bachmeier, Casey Kline and Alec Pell. He passed on offers from Washington State, Nevada, SDSU, among many others, including a handful of Ivy League schools.
Golden’s Peoria HS Panthers finished the 2017 season 8-4, losing to Saguaro in the AIA 4A State Championship playoffs.
Surprisingly, the Broncos will only have two OL graduating this year (Zach Troughton and Andres Preciado), so Golden may not have too much company in the 2019 class along that line. At any rate, it’s safe to say Golden was one of, if not THE, top target for the Broncos in the 2018 class.
While nothing gold can stay, Golden can DEFINITELY stick around, for at least 4 or 5 years. Welcome to Bronco Nation, Jacob! GO BRONCOS!
