Sweet, sweet revenge. BSU got theirs.
It was Foulfest 2018, with both teams combining for 54 total fouls, the Broncos were able to send seniors Sengfelder, Williams and, of course, Hutchison, with a win. This was also Hutchison’s 87th career win, which ties the school record. They finished the regular season 23-7 and earned 2nd seed in the MW tournament.
Sengfelder lead the Broncos with 24 points. Williams was a close second with 22 points. Hutchison had an uncharacteristically lose 11 points and fouled out late in the second half.
Jessup had 15, missing just one shot all game, and Haney had 8, but contributed 9 rebounds. Another crazy stats: Williams was 12-12 from the free throw line. Dickinson was the next closest going 7-8. Boise state finished 30-60 (50%) from the field and 8-18 (44%) from 3. From the free throw, BSU was a stellar 27-34 (79%). Broncos had a 40-27 rebounding edge as well.
Next up for the Broncos is a matchup between the winner of the 7th and 10th seed teams on Thursday the 8th. GO BRONCOS!
