Boise State National Signing Day (part deux) megathread

NCAA Football: Las Vegas Bowl-Boise State vs Oregon Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

Oh, you thought we were done? Silly Broncos.

Boise State signed 20 guys back in December, but had a few loose ends to tie up on what is now “traditional” signing day..or even “late” signing day and boy are those loose ends getting tied. The full list of 2018 guys is below with some notable new additions.

Broncos get surprise late LOI from southern blue-chipper

Since the last signing day, two Boise State signees were awarded the coveted 4th-star from scouting services—that’d be RB Andrew Van Buren and DE Kukea Emmsley, who joined WR Khalil Shakir to give the Broncos a record three 4-stars in the same class. Well, how about another? This morning, Boise State addressed a TE depth need in a big way, gaining the services of 4-star Tyneil Hopper—the #1 tight-end in the state of Georgia. Hopper had a few offers from schools you may have heard of—like Alabama and Auburn.

Big OL and really big (for BSU) QB round out the class

Boise State flipped ginormous guard Dallas Holliday in the late period from Colorado State (he was also committed to SDSU at one point...BONUS) and secured the services of 6’5” QB Riley Smith. Smith had over 30 offers and Holliday was a big-time player at a big-time program (Oaks Christian). Welcome aboard, fellas!
