The sad end to Boise State’s season got a little sadder, but not in an unexpected indefinite lightning delay type of way. Boise State’s junior running back Alexander Mattison has decided to enter the NFL draft after a banner season and will not be returning to the team. Mattison finished his 2018 campaign with 1,415 yards and 17 TDs and nearly carried the squad to their second-straight MWC championship. I really don’t know how Mattison’s stock will look when the draft boards start getting drawn up, but he’s got the type of size and athleticism that is highly-coveted. Now’s a good time to remind everyone that we’ll have three 4-star RB recruits on the roster in 2019, so don’t despair. Mattison has been a real class-act and a great example of hard work and perseverance. We hope you’ll join us in wishing him the best of luck.
