2019 Boise State Recruiting Roundup: 11/4/18

NCAA Football: Brigham Young at Boise State Brian Losness-USA TODAY Sports

I think the Broncos delight in torturing me with close games against the Cougars. I’m fairly certain I aged about 7 years while watching that game. A dub is a dub though! We picked up a couple of big time commits this week. Check ‘em out below!

Hank Bachmeier, QB, Murrieta Valley HS (Murrieta, CA)

Hank’s high school football career is over after losing to San Clemente 26-49. The Nighthawks finished 6-5 on the year. Hank was 26-33 (78.8%) for 326 yards, 2 TD and 1 INT along with 14 carries for 66 yards.

Hank finished his senior season going 202 of 313 (64.5%) for 3,149 yards, 32 TDs to 9 INTs. He also had 93 rushes for 520 yards and 10 more TDs. For his decorated career, 797 of 1,181 (67.5%) for 13,150, 156 TD and 30 INT (5:1) and 317 rushes for 2,190 yards (6.9 ypc) and 31 TDs. That’s insanity.

Casey Kline, ATH, Brawley HS (Brawley, CA)

Brawley begins their playoff run on Friday, 11/9, at 7pm. Opponent is TBA (no, not Taco bell Arena).

Keegan Duncan, RB, Declo HS (Declo, ID)

Declo beat St Maries 49-6, moving on to the state playoff semi-finals. Keegan had 4 TDs and at least 124 yards rushing, though most likely more. Final game stats aren’t available.

Declo (10-0) will take on Westside (10-0) on Friday, 11/9, in the semi-finals of the state playoffs.

Jacob Golden, OL, Peoria HS (Peoria, AZ)

The Panthers lost a heart breaker to Seton Catholic 49-54, ending their season at 9-2. The Peoria offense produced 355 rushing yards in the loss. Jacob had 50 total tackles and 1 sack, not counting the playoff loss.

Ben Dooley, OL, Churchill County HS (Fallon, NV)

CCHS stayed a perfect 10-0 after beating Fernley 54-13. The Greenwave moves on in the 3A Northern Championship to take on 10-1 Truckee. Churchill County won the last meeting in September 32-29.

George Holani, RB, St John Bosco HS (Bellflower, CA)

SBJ blanked Serra 49-0, moving on the playoffs tp take on San Clemente (the same San Clemente that beat Hank Bachmeier’s Nighthawks) in the 2018 CIF Southern Section High School Football Playoff Quarterfinals on 11/9 at 7pm. George had 11 rushes for 88 yards and a TD and 2 receptions for 42 yards and a TD in the win.

Kaiden Bennett, QB, Folsom HS (Bellflower, CA)

New commit Kaiden Bennett and the Folsom Bulldogs (ranked #7 in CA) had a first round bye in the 2018 CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Football Playoff after a 9-1 season. Kaiden is an impressive 141-185 (76.2%) for 2,871 yards, 44 TDs and just 2 INTs. He also has 37 rushes for 167 yards and 4 more TDs.

Kaiden (6’1, 180lbs) passed on offers from Utah, SDSU and Cincinnati to name a few to be a Bronco.

Folsom takes on Edison (9-2) on Friday, 11/9 at 7pm.

Khyheem Waleed, WR, Casteel HS (Queen Creek, AZ)

Khyheem and Casteel took down Horison 49-10 to improve to 9-2 and move on in the playoffs. Khyheem had 1 reception for 21 yards in the win. Khyheem has 25 catches for 447 yards and 4 TDs this season for the Colts.

Khyheem (6’3 190lbs) passed on offers from Michigan State, Iowa State, Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Oregon, UCLA and Vanderbilt, to name a few, to be a Bronco.

Casteel takes on Higley (8-3) in the 2018 5A AIA State Football Quarterfinals on Friday, 11/9 at 7pm.

We got a couple of solid pick-ups this week, enough to push us into first place in the recruiting rankings for the MW an 81st nationally with 8 recruits. A few of our recruits are done with their season and quite a few still have some playoff games to play. Keep your eyes peeled for updated stats next week. GO BRONCOS!
