Notable Notes

The only official change to the published depth chart is that there is now no longer an ‘or’ between Harrington and Moore at right guard. Everything else? Sheer speculation. But that can be fun too, so let’s speculate!

We all know that Harsin will never announce any changes to the roster that aren’t season-ending. However, he is very consistent in providing that information. This is relevant because there have been a number of prominent injuries to players where we haven’t heard any kind of declaration that their season is done. Most notably, Kekoa Nawahine, John Hightower, and Khalil Shakir—all of which would be extremely helpful against a Fresno defense that didn’t stop being formidable just because Boise State beat them last time. Not only is there an extra motivation component that can come from a previous loss, but Fresno has also gotten to see the Boise offense firsthand and has certainly noted some tendencies. This of course goes both ways, but it would be exceptionally beneficial to have the wildcard of John Hightower being on the field this time around. Since none of those injuries have been announced as season-ending, and there’s only a max of two games remaining, there is a 50% chance for each of those players to see the field on Saturday. Here’s hoping we do...
