2019 Boise State Recruiting Roundup: 11/11/18

NCAA Football: Fresno State at Boise State Brian Losness-USA TODAY Sports

Talk about a crazy game! I wasn’t sure what to expect from the Broncos this week considering the number of injuries on defense, Hightower being out and Fresno seemingly playing at a high level. Feels good to get the Milk Can back!

Let’s check in on how the future Broncos are doing in the playoffs.

Hank Bachmeier, QB, Murrieta Valley HS (Murrieta, CA)

Hank finished his senior season going 202 of 313 (64.5%) for 3,149 yards, 32 TDs to 9 INTs. He also had 93 rushes for 520 yards and 10 more TDs. For his decorated career, 797 of 1,181 (67.5%) for 13,150, 156 TD and 30 INT (5:1) and 317 rushes for 2,190 yards (6.9 ypc) and 31 TDs. That’s insanity.

Casey Kline, ATH, Brawley HS (Brawley, CA)

Brawley finished the season at 8-3 after falling to Morse 14-25. Casey had 3 carries for 33 yards and a TD and 2 receptions for 52 yards in the loss.

Full season stats for Casey are not yet available.

Keegan Duncan, RB, Declo HS (Declo, ID)

Declo wrecked West Side (no, not THAT West Side) 61-28 to improve to 10-0 on the year and will move on to the ID IHSAA 3A Championship for the third year in a row.

Keegan actually account for 389 yards of offense on 15 touches for 7 TDs. INSANITY. He had 8 carries for 222 yards and 4 TDs in the first half.

Declo (10-0) will take on North Fremont (11-0) on Friday, 11/16, 7pm in the finals of the state playoffs.

Jacob Golden, OL, Peoria HS (Peoria, AZ)

The Panthers lost a heart breaker to Seton Catholic 49-54, ending their season at 9-2. The Peoria offense produced 355 rushing yards in the loss. Jacob had 50 total tackles and 1 sack, not counting the playoff loss.

Ben Dooley, OL, Churchill County HS (Fallon, NV)

CCHS stayed a perfect 10-0 after beating Fernley 54-13. The Greenwave moves on in the 3A Northern Championship to take on 10-1 Truckee. Churchill County won the last meeting in September 32-29. That game will be Saturday, 11/17 at 5pm.

George Holani, RB, St John Bosco HS (Bellflower, CA)

SBJ beat San Clemente 56-6 to remain the #1 team in the nation. Stats weren’t available in the win, but George had at least one TD run on the night.

SBJ takes on Oaks Christian (12-0) this Friday, 11/16 at 730pm in the semi-finals.

Kaiden Bennett, QB, Folsom HS (Bellflower, CA)

Folsom beat Edison 64-28, lead by a 50-0 first quarter. Kaiden was 5-6 for 160 yards and 3 TDs in that quarter. He sat the rest of the game.

Folsom takes on St Mary’s (7-4) on Friday, 11/16 at 7pm in the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Playoff semi-finals.

Khyheem Waleed, WR, Casteel HS (Queen Creek, AZ)

Casteel’s playoff run ended with a loss to Higley 27-34. The Colts finished their season 9-3. Stats in the loss were not recorded.

Michael Callahan, WR, Yorba Linda HS (Yorba Linda, CA)

Yorba Linda lost to Corona del Mar 12-49 in the CIF Southern Section Playoff quarterfinals, ending their playoff run. They finished 9-3.

Mike is a 6’4 246lb DE out of California that passed on offers from pretty much every Ivy League school along with AF, USU and SJSU. Mike had 64 total tackles, 33 solo, 11 TFL and 7 sacks, not including the loss to Corona del Mar.

Solid win by the Broncos this weekend! A few of our recruits are done with their season and quite a few still have some playoff games to play. Keep your eyes peeled for updated stats next week. GO BRONCOS!
