The Broncos MBB (16-3, 6-1 MWC) head down to Reno, NV to face off against the Nevada Wolf Pack (17-3, 6-0 MWC) at Lawlor Events Center. The Broncos are a half a game behind the Wolf Pack AND have an opportunity to take first place from Nevada and keep pace for seeding purposes for the MWC tourbament, and at-large hopes for the NCAA. Currently the Broncos are 6.5 underdogs to he Wolf Pack.
Ever since Nevada Coach Eric Musselman took over the team, he has had the Wild Pack running the league. And in quite short order. Last year the Broncos lost both games to Nevada. This is going to be their opportunity to get revenge for those losses. The Wolf Pack may be without Cody Martin (doubtful, achilles) but will probably still make an appearance, albeit limited. This may be an opportunity for Bronco standout Chandler Hutchison to take control of the game and sneak a win in Reno. If not, the Broncos will find themselves in a hole as far as the regular season goes, and perhaps in some trouble come tournament selection time.
Be that as it may, this will be a great matchup of the conference leaders.
