The 6’1 265lb (according to Scout) center hails from national power Mater Dei. Rivals has him listed at 6’2 and 280lbs. Kekaniokoa passed on offers from Army, Air Force, UNLV, New Mexico, San Jose State, Hawaii and Delaware State to join the Broncos.
He is listed as the #2 center in California and was recently added to the Polynesian Bowl Roster for 2018, joining fellow Bronco commit Kukea Emmsley. His Mater Dei squad recently took down Bishop Gorman 35-21. If you don’t know who they are, you need to do some reading.
Gonzalez makes 10 commits for the 2018 class. It’s shaping up to be a very solid class. He joins local standout Keeghan Freeborn as the two current OL commits. Mater Dei is currently the #2 ranked high school in the nation, #1 in California. They take on Bergen Catholic on Saturday, 9/16 at 730pm. Kekaniokoa is part of an OL that is helping the Mater Dei running backs average 174.3 yards per game. GO BRONCOS!!
