Did you hear about the corn cob that joined the army?

It was promoted to kernel!

Jeremy McNichols on some shaky ground in Tampa Bay

This is kind of concerning. I am curious if it is more of “rookie mistakes” and jitters more than anything else. I am sure he’ll figure it out eventually.

Does Demarcus Lawrence have the ability to be the best rusher?

This article doesn’t seem to think so. So it will be interesting to see how he comes up this season. It feels like he has problems staying on for a whole season, so this should be a telling season for Mr. Lawrence.

Shea McClellin going to be used as an edge position in New England?

Perhaps. But McClellin has been injured as of late, so him actually staying on the field may be an issue as well. He can do the job but finding that good fit for McClellin always seems to be challenging.

Darian Thompson getting some reps at the starting safety spot

But the Giants are keen on swapping guys in and out. Not sure what this means for Thompson going into the season, but I guess it’s better that he gets the start than not?

Donte Deayon getting confident he will stick around

He’s yet to officially make the Giants final 53-man roster. So it could still come really close to this opportunity. Getting a pick-six against the New York Jets does not hurt though.

Graham DeLaet: not a fan of fantasy sports

Definitely do not blame him. Fantasy sports is such a huge thing right now especially given the opportunity for normal schmucks to make money in leagues and in paid sites. But lamenting an athlete’s injuries, and playing status, is just tacky.

(NOTE: I do participate in a paid fantasy football league, but would never, ever, lament an athlete’s inability to play due to injury.)

Jay Ajayi in ‘mid-season’ form

Yup.

Breaking down the Buccaneers’ final 53

Both Jeremy McNichols and Jonathan Moxey make an appearance on here. Given McNichols’ information from above, I would focus on Moxey on this article.

Rees Odhiambo: making the Seattle Seahawks happy

Which makes ME happy. It’s a perpetual cycle of happiness!

Kamalei Correa gets looks at inside linebacker

He alternated Patrick Onwuasor in the position.
