Happy Fourth of July folks! Today is a day of celebration, fire works, cookouts, volleyball, and any other sorts of ways you like to hang out. Today marks 60 days until Boise State football returns. As such, we actually have a “double post,” as it were, in regards to numbers. So in the vain of SOMEONE has to be here, we are going to profile—Haden Hoggarth
#60 (technically 41), Haden Hoggarth, RS Junior, Kicker
High School: Seabreeze HS, Ormand Beach, FL / Bethune-Cookman
How'd he get to the Blue™?
He is a transfer from Bethune-Cookman who appears to have taken a few years off. He joined the team for the spring semester as a preferred walk-on. He expects to be kicking stuff for the Broncos. I expect him to kick as well!
“Hagar the Horrible”
If I was not able to find a decent picture of Mr. Haden Hoggarth, we would have gotten one of these pictures. He got lucky.
Ultimately I couldn’t help myself.
In 2014 (his Redshirt Freshman year for Bethune-Cookman) he made three field goals and 25 PATs for a total of 34 points. In high school he was the no. 81 ranked kicker in the state of Florida per MaxPreps.
Mr. Haden Hoggarth is here to kick. And seeing as how he’s a Redshirt Junior, his playing time is starting to wind down. While his stats are a bit limited, he may be able to see some playing time in the upcoming season. The kicking game for the Broncos has been a bit tenuous with the Boise State opting for being aggressive and trying to score a touchdown than to settle for a field goal. Sometimes walking away with some points is better than turning the ball over on downs or a turnover. Certainly hope Hoggarth can provide the coaches with a bit of confidence in the kicking game in the fall.
Is he on Twitter?
Yes he does! And he’s got jokes.
So my week long goal of not slipping on ice while walking to class lasted 15 mins..— Haden Hoggarth (@Haden_Hoggarth) January 9, 2017
You should check out his Twitter profile if you’ve got a chance.
Completely made up fact
Back in 1999 Hotmail had a bit of a security issue with their e-mails and the password ‘eh.’ Mr. Haden Hoggarth is the one who found out the security issue.
