Wake Up, Bronco Nation: Boise State MBB commits; Orlando Scandrick; Allie Ostrander

NFL: NFC Divisional-Green Bay Packers at Dallas Cowboys Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

Did you know I wrote a song about a tortilla?

Well, it was more of a wrap.

Bronco MBB joined in on the recruiting fun

And nabbed another verbal commit for the 2018 season.

The basketball team had a few notable departures over the past few months so getting some good news makes happier times.

Welcome aboard Mr. Jaycson Bereal!

Speaking of Boise State basketball commits

Now with Mr. Bereals verbal, along with already committed Trey Hopkins, Boise State has two of the top four recruits in Oklahoma. That’s... impressive. Unfortunately the article is on lockdown by a paywall. I don’t have a subscription so I can’t even relay a bit of a snapshot. But this is a big deal and should provide some great options for the Broncos.

Allie Ostrander earns performance of the week honors

This was a reader vote and Ms. Ostrander took 36% (second-place took 24%). I did not realize that Ostrander, the Adorable Badass, had made herself eligible for the World Championships if she had wanted to pursue that. But, apparently, she is shutting down her season so she can focus on the upcoming cross country season. At this point Ms. Ostrander can do whatever she chooses and we will ask for more!

Orlando Scandrick wants to win a title with the Dallas Cowboys

While Mr. Orlando Scandrick was injured last season the Cowboys did pretty well. Having his experience and talent will be a boon for a defense that was a bit on the sketchy side. Looking forward to seeing him get back on the field.

University of Idaho the best basketball job?

I have... questions.

Not 100% sure what is up with that quote from ESPN. But I would have to say a resounding: “not really.”

Obligatory Useless Button.
