Recruiting dominoes continue to fall as Bronco land 4th commit in two days in California RB

Just as I was starting to think we were off to a bit of a slow start to 2018 recruiting, the Broncos got red hot and just landed their FOURTH commit of the last 36 hours or so. Going in to Sunday night, Boise State had just one man aboard (S Philip Mills), but a commitment from Brandon Hawkins that night (and confirmed the following morning) kicked a snowball down the hill that’s become an avalanche.

Whilst I was watching Gal Gadot kick some German butt at the movie theater, DJ Schramm committed to the Broncos and as I’d sat down to the computer to read all about it, the recruiting beacon was lit once again, and thankfully we didn’t have to wait long to learn that it was California ATH Kazmeir Allen. Allen is a 5’9” 165 lb. all-purpose back out of Tulare Union (CA) and he boasts impressive speed—he recently ran a 10.48 100m at the California State track and field championships. The Broncos offered the speedster all the way back in February, and joined Arizona, Colorado State, Eastern Washington, Fresno State, Utah State, Hawaii, Nevada, SDSU, and San José State in the quest for his services.

The 3-star Allen is rated the 14th best back in California and looks like he can become a dangerous weapon in, or out, of the backfield. Last season, he put up 1,842 rushing yards, 582 receiving yards, and 599 kick return yards. That’s versatility. If you’d like to see what he can do, look no further than his hudl tape below.
