Boise State Game Balls for week of March 19th

NCAA Basketball: Fresno State at Boise State Brian Losness-USA TODAY Sports

It was a bit of a slower week for Bronco athletics. Softball, tennis, men’s basketball. Let’s get to it.

Game Ball One:

Nick Duncan (basketball)

This Game Ball is more of an honorary/career one for a lovable Boise State guy. Mr. Duncan has made his mark on the Boise State record books and has forever endeared himself in our hearts by publicly doing what we’ve been doing to the Utah State student section in every sport. Except when we do it, it’s expected. He’s moving on to the pros now and we wish him nothing but the best.

Game Ball Two:

Makenzie Sullivan (softball)

Against Montana, last week, Ms. Sullivan had two hits in four at-bats. She helped drive two runners in in the somewhat low-scoring affair. The Broncos did come away with the all-important win and she was responsible for half of the Broncos’ scoring output, so she gets this week’s Game Ball!

Game Ball Three:

Jack Heslin (tennis)

The former Tennessee Volunteer won both the no. 2 singles and was the second half of a no. 2 doubles win in a Mountain West Conference match last week. The men’s team has been in a bit of a slump the whole year. Mr. Heslin’s win certainly brings a bright spot.

Game Ball Four:

Anja Dokic (tennis)

The women’s team had a couple of wins last week. Ms. Dokic was responsible for two of them in a match against Southern Utah. She won the no. 2 singles and no. 2 doubles. Not too shabby. Ms. Dokic even took down a ranked UNLV athlete as the Broncos took a loss last Saturday to the Rebels. Congratulations to Ms. Dokic’s success.

Your Turn

Ok guys. Anyone else that did some good?
