Boise State Game Balls for week of March 12th

Sorry for being late on this one. Life comes at you fast.

Game Ball One:

Rebekah Cervantes (softball)

Homegirl knows how to bat. Last Sunday she had three hits, three runs, and two RBIs in the 10-1 win against Hartford. The win helped cap a 5-0 weekend for the Broncos. The performance even netted her a Mountain West softball player of the week. Pretty awesome.

Game Ball Two:

Chandler Hutchison (basketball)

Mr. Hutchison went nuts against the University of Utah and had 34 points to help the Broncos overcome an 11 point deficit (and 12-point underdogs) to get the win. Heading into his final season, the hype train will be uncontrollable, so here’s to meeting expectations!

Game Ball Three:

Brooke Pahukoa (basketball)

Admittedly this one is more of a “goodbye” Game Ball. Ms. Pahukoa has had an outstanding career at Boise State and, despite the disappointing outcome in Los Angeles, nothing can take that away. Congratulations to Ms. Pahukoa and look forward to seeing her succeed at whatever comes next.

Game Ball Four:

200m Free Relay team (swimming)

The team of Brittany Aoyama, Abbey Sorenson, Katelyn Martin, and Ally Kleinsorgen placed 12th at the NCAAs last week. Good for ten points for the Broncos team and All-American Honorable Mention.

Game Ball Five:

Shani Remme (gymnastics)

Ms. Remme won the all-around at last week’s Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference championships. And she won Gymnast of the Year for the conference as well. We all know she’s been waiting for this weeks Game Ball to round this out. So wait no longer!
