It may not be the big dance, but it's still the only non-Stake dance allowed in Utah at the moment. Boise State takes on the Utes in the NIT's first round and it's gonna be LIT as the kids say. Boise State, a 6-seed will need to take down the Utes, a 3-seed on their own court if they want to advance in the oldest basketball tourney in the nation. To do so, they'll need to stop a bevy of talented Utes, starting with junior forward Kyle Kuzma, who is averaging 16.3 ppg and nearly 10 rebounds. Another junior, David Collette, is a transfer from Utah State (a controversial one at that) and is second on the team in scoring—with 13.6 points per contest.
Of course, it takes a little offense to win games too and the Broncos will need Chandler Hutchison to show up big tonight in SLC and for Paris Austin to get to the rim and distribute to the perimeter like we all know he can.
How to watch
The game will be televised nationally on ESPNU (DirecTV 208, Dish 141, Cable ONE 136) and will be called by Sam Farber and Corey Williams. Locally, you can tune in to Bob Behler and Abe Jackson on the Bronco flagship 670 KBOI.
Betting lines
Broncos not being given a lot of love in this one...Utes are a 12-point fave.
