Basketball GameThread: Colorado State at Boise State

Boise State did pretty well for themselves in non-conference play...finishing the tune-up 10-2 and in a decent position for an at-large if they can take care of business in MWC play. That MWC play starts tonight at Taco Ballerina when Larry Eustachy's Rams team comes to town. Eustachy is one of the least popular coaches among Bronco Nation and Boise State has had an...interesting history with the Fort Collins cagers—making tonight's matchup not lacking for storylines.

Colorado State didn't fare quite as well in their non-con slate, and will come into Boise carrying a 7-6 record. Of course, Mountain West play is just different and they certainly could find their stride...it's up to Leon Rice's Broncos to stop them from doing so. The Broncos went 2-0 against the Rams last season, with the first such win coming on a Chandler Hutchison buzzer beater on New Year's Eve. Let's hope a little more late-December magic is swirling around TBA tonight.

If you can get down to TBA tonight, Leon Rice would really appreciate it:

If you can't (snuck in snowdrift, allergic to hardwood, etc) you can catch the proceedings on CBS Sports Network or on 670 KBOI (as usual). CBS Sports Network can be found in streaming form via Hulu and Playstation Vue, and both offer free trials, so now might be a good chance to try one out? OBNUG's own Damien Alambra has vowed to be courtside, so he'll be live-tweeting the action from a comfy chair on press row, so stay close to your monitor.

GO BRONCOS!
