Why was Santa’s helper sad?
He had low elf-esteem.
Bronco WBB has a game today
And it’s at Taco Bell Arena. The Broncos are looking for a season sweep of Pac-12 foes, having dispatched the University of Washington Huskies earlier this year. Last year the Broncos held off the Cougars to snag a win in Pullman. Now it is Wazzu’s turn to come to Boise. If you are able, please try and make an appearance. The Broncos play an exciting game and could use some extra energy in TBA.
Yes, Bronco MBB also has a game today
But this one is in Dallas, so those of us not able to travel there will just have to slum it on ESPNU. This is the last non-conference game for the Broncos and a final opportunity for a résumé win for the NCAA. The Mountain West Conference is looking pretty strong, in general, with Nevada and the Broncos having strong seasons so far. Having this game on the W side would do wonders for Boise State.
Leighton Vander Esch: yeah, he’s ok at football
And I think some other people noticed.
If you didn't know who Leighton Vander Esch was before the Las Vegas Bowl, you know now.

Vander Esch was a force, and even registered 2 QB pressures on just 9 pass-rushing snaps. pic.twitter.com/cWPF6RwKXm
He is going to leave early to the NFL and break my heart. But I would support that decision 100% as he has the potential to make a lot of money and I certainly wouldn’t begrudge a guy talented enough to go. (But, for the record, no I do not want him to leave.)
Speaking of a guy who is going to get paid next year
Cedrick Wilson is going to do great things for an NFL team very soon. One concern an NFL team could have is his ability to stay healthy. While I don’t doubt he will get drafted, just where is going to be a concern. He was bogged with injuries in his two seasons with the Broncos, but still managed to be one of the best ever. Wrap your head around that. Just imagine if he didn’t roll both of his ankles during the game. Who knows what devastation he could have done to the Ducks’ secondary.
Cedrick Wilson told me he rolled both of his ankles today. First ankle went numb and he missed three drives. Came back and hurt the other ankle on the deep ball before half. Was limited to key plays rest of game. Still delivered with game on the line

While I suppose an NFL team could question his durability, you couldn’t EVER question his heart the dude just makes plays. And the Broncos were better for it.
Another recap of the Las Vegas Bowl
Because the football offseason is a cold and lonely place. We can bask in this for a little bit longer as we pivot to the shooty-hoops.
