The last two bits of recruiting news for Boise State wasn’t the best. First it was RB Zidane Thomas deciding to reopen his recruitment then QB Zach Wilson looking for a different opportunity.
But the wheels of recruiting march on regardless and, despite the setbacks, the Boise State coaches are ever on the search for future Broncos.
Which brings us to the bit of good news just released today: Chris Mitchell of Mission Viejo, CA announced his commitment to the Broncos.

If that school sounds familiar—it should—it’s because another Bronco great, and WAC All-Decade team hopeful, also hailed from there: Mr. Marty Tadman.
Mr. Mitchell’s announcement comes at a good time as the coaches have a game tomorrow and the early signing day approaching. Mitchel looks to be a good addition to the Broncos’ secondary and another proverbial ‘good get’.
Mitchell is a Rivals three star-rated CB. He had offers from the likes of Notre Dame (!!!), Washington State, Iowa State, and—wait for it—Connecticut. Dodged a bullet on that one.
Check out Michell’s highlights.
