Boise State Game Balls for week of October 29th

Busy week as Boise State soccer ended their season. Football won. And there was some golf.

Game Ball One:

Wilhemina Palmer (women’s tennis)

Ms. Palmer won the singles in the Barb Chandler Classic Blue Flight final. She outlasted fellow Bronco Lilian Poling. And then turned around to pair up with Ms. Poling to win the doubles final.

Game Ball Two:

Raimee Sherle (soccer)

Ms. Sherle is going to go down as one of the best footballers for Boise State. And last week, nay the season, proved that. She helped lead the Broncos past the Air Force Falcons in the first round of the MWC soccer tournament. The Broncos eventually fell to San Diego State in the next round 1-0. But not for lack of effort.

Game Ball Three:

Chandler Hutchison (basketball)

What is this?! Basketball?! Ok. Weird. Anyway last week the Broncos opened up with their one, and only, exhibition game against College of Idaho. And boy it showed, at first at least. Behind Mr. Hutchison’s 25 points the Broncos eventually took down the Coyotes. But it was closer than anyone probably would have preferred.

Game Ball Four:

Brett Rypien (football)

After having a rough go for the first part of the year, Mr. Rypien is hitting his stride. His last interception was back against the BYU Cougars. And in the last two games he’s thrown for over 500 yards. Against Nevada he rushed for a first down and caught a pass for another first. He’s peaking at the right time of the year and, with some crucial games coming up, it’s a welcomed sight.
