Wake Up, Bronco Nation: WBB falls; Jay Ajayi scores a TD; Boise State football moves up in a ranking

New, comments
NCAA Football: Nevada at Boise State Brian Losness-USA TODAY Sports

I told my doctor I broke my arm in two places.

He told me to stop going to those places.

Jay Ajayi did a good for the Eagles

One of the big talking points of the weekend was how the Miami Dolphins got rid of Jay Ajayi for some reason. No matter. He scored his first touchdown, FOR THE SEASON, with the Eagles today. Seems like it has worked out for him. Oh. And he helped bench LeGarrette Blount. A Boise State running back sidelining Blount will never NOT be a funny thing.

Bronco WBB fell to Carrol College

The one positive thing about this is that it was just an exhibition game. The Broncos were picked to finish first in the MWC pre-season rankings. Like Coach Presnell said during postgame: “The reason you play exhibition games is to figure out rotations, and put yourselves in scenarios like this.” Better to find some sort of “where you are at” here than when it counts. When it “starts to count” is next Friday by the way.

ICYMI: football got a commit from last night

This past Saturday was an important weekend for recruiting. So the fact the team was able to fire on all cylinders during the game, and have fun doing it, was a positive. Perhaps the weekend may influence a few more guys to commit to Boise State.

I mean. Kinda. It’s, you know, statistics so it’s not quite anything that matters per se but it is fun to look at. Boise State moved up 12 spots in this poll and got a particular shoutout.

Troy Merritt finished tied for 51st at a PGA tournament

Just an FYI for you all.
