A complete game at home! The last 5 opponents have been held to 14 points or fewer, and we have only given up more than that twice in 9 games. NICE. This weekend was also a HUGE recruiting weekend, so expect to see something out of that in the coming weeks.
Let’s check in on the future Broncos and get to know the new commits from this week.
Andrew VanBuren, RB, Caminade HS (West Hills, CA)
Chaminade are the Mission League champs after taking down Bishop Amat on Friday 57-33. VanBuren had 25 rushes for 93 yards and 4 TDs. So far, AVB has 209 touches for 1,219 yards (5.8 ypc) and 22 total TDs.
Chaminade takes on Orange Lutheran on Friday, 11/10 at 7pm in the CIF Southern Section Playoffs.
Scale Igiehon, DT, Del Valle HS (Del Valle, TX)
Del Valle lost to Manor 21-28 on Friday, falling to 4-5 and 0-4 in district. Stats for Del Valle were not kept. Scale’s stats for the year are incomplete, but through the end of September, he had 27 total tackles and 3 sacks.
Del Valle takes on Anderson on Friday, 11/10 at 730pm, their last scheduled game.
Kukea Emmsley, DE, Kapolei HS (Kapolei, HI)
Kapolei finished the season 5-6, 2-5 in league play. Final stats for Kukea have not yet been compiled.

Georgetown takes on Pflugerville Connally Friday, 11/9 at 7pm.
Zidane Thomas, RB, Centennial HS (Peoria, AZ)
Centennial beat Sunnyslope 28-2, moving on to the quarterfinals against Chaparral. Xavier Rojas must know someone because he’s the only one that ever seems to have stats. No new updates have been added since last week.
Centennial takes on Chaparral on Friday, 11/10 at 7pm in the playoffs.
DJ Schramm, LB, Clovis West HS (Fresno, CA)
Clovis West beat Clovis 45-21 on Friday, cementing a first-round bye in the Central Section CIF Les Schwab Championships. They will take on either Clovis or Ridgeview on 11/17. Senior stats aren’t yet compiled for DJ. After the win, DJ jumped on a plane and joined many other future Broncos for an official visit for the Nevada game.

The Golden Eagles take on Clovis or Ridgeview on Friday, 11/27 at 7pm.
Philip Mills, LB, Paloma Valley HS (Menifee, CA)
Paloma Valley lost a close one to Heritage 38-41, giving them just their second loss of the season. Mills had 8 total tackles and 1 TFL. His totals for the year so far are as follows: 69 total tackles, 45 solo, 10 TFL, 1 sack and 1 interception.

Zachary Wilson, QB, Corner Canyon HS (Draper, UT)
Corner Canyon is a perfect 11-0 after shutting out Highland 37-0. Wilson was 21-28 (75%) for 323 yards (15.4 ypa) and 2 TDs. Zach is 152-260 (58.5%) for 2,635 yards, 22 TDs and 7 INTs. He also has 98 rushes for 684 yards (7.0 ypc) and another 6 TDs. Zach, too, was in Boise for the Wolfpack game.
Corner Canyon will take on Skyridge Thursday 11/9 at 11am in the semifinals
Keeghan Freeborn, DT, Rocky Mountain HS (Meridian, ID)
Rocky Mountain beat Eagle in a low scoring match 13-7. The win secures them a spot in the semi-finals against Highland, who beat Capital 42-7. While Keeghan plays offensive line for the Grizzlies, his coach moved him to the defensive line to get one final stop. He did just that. Pretty cool way to seal a victory. I was under the impression Freeborn would play OL for the Broncos, but from the article it sounds like he might be DL. I’m probably the last one finding out about this, so whatevs.
Rocky Mountain takes on Highland this Friday, 11/10.
Kekaniokoa Gonzalez, C, Mater Dei HS (Santa Ana, CA)
Mater Dei is back in the #1 spot after a 51-7 drubbing of Servite on Friday, staying a perfect 10-0. No stats were kept for Koa in the win. He was also in Boise for the Nevada game.

Cole Ramseyer, TE, Coeur d’Alene HS (Coeur d’Alene, ID)
CDA beat Madison 66-22 on Friday, moving on to the semifinals where they will face undefeated Mountain View. Cole had 4 receptions for 28 yards in the win. He has 34 catches for 473 yards and 5 TDs on the year. Cole was in town on his official visit this weekend as well.
Coeur d’Alene takes on Mountain View in the semifinals this Friday, 11/10 at 4pm.
Demitri Washington, STUD, Santa Fe Christian Schools (Solana Beach, CA)
The Eagles took down TCHS 34-13 on Friday, improving to 6-4 and 3-1 in league play. The win secures them a bye in the first round of the CIF San Diego Section Div III playoffs. Stats were available, but I didn’t see any for Demitri. Assuming he was out for an injury of some kind.
SFCHS takes on either La Jolla or Mar Vista Friday, 11/17 at 7pm.
John Hightower, WR, Hinds C.C. (Raymond, MS)
Hinds CC lost to Northwest CC 13-27 in the MACJC semifinals, ending their season. John had 1 reception for 46 yards in the loss. John had 13 receptions for 234 yards and 4 TDs for the season.
Stefan Cobbs, WR, Fossil Ridge HS (Keller, TX)
Fossil Ridge beat Weatherford 49-24, staying perfect at 9-0. Cobbs had 8 receptions for 208 yards and 4 TDs in the win. Yes, that is correct. He averaged 26 yards per catch. For the year (so far) he has 55 catches for 1,176 yards (21.4 ypc) and 22 TDs.
Fossile Ridge takes on Keller on Friday, 11/10 at 730pm.

REVHS takes on Cathedral Friday, 11/10 at 730pm in the first round of the CIF Souther Section DII playoffs.
Sorry for the late post. Much better info this week. The playoffs tend to provide better info lol. We are already starting to reap the rewards of the recruiting weekend as well with the commitment of Bowens. More to come, me thinks. Go Broncos!
