It was just announced via the twitter machine that only 20,500 tickets are out for the MWC Championship game and wait...what? Albertsons Stadium can hold roughly 37,000 fans when it’s at capacity, and I don’t see why it shouldn’t be filled to the rafters on Saturday evening to watch (and help) the Broncos bring the title back to Boise. It’s Thursday...so there’s a lot of work to do.
First off, this game is not late...it’s at 5:45pm...on a weekend.
Secondly, the weather won’t be THAT bad for a December evening—low 40s...chance of rain.
Thirdly, tickets are unusually cheap. $40 bucks will get you a seat anywhere in the stadium...except the endzones—they’re just $20.
Fourthly, full-time student tickets are FREE and students can purchase up to 3 additional guest tickets for just $9 a pop. Part-time student tickets are $9.
Fifthly, if you can show me a stub of a ticket that you’ve purchased between today and Saturday (tickets can be printed at home) I’ll put your name in a hat to win one of these handsome posters that I happened to have in my closet, courtesy of Prinstant Replays.
Lastly, this game is HUGE and obviously the culmination of a great year for the Broncos, but I doubt anyone will really consider it a success if they don’t get revenge on Fresno this weekend. If you can’t go—we forgive you...if any of the other reasons listed above convince you that maybe you can go...I strongly urge you to...it will be a great experience that you can tell your grandkids, friends, and dogs about for years to come.
They said we couldn’t beat Oklahoma...they also said we can’t sell 15,000 tickets in two days. Never bet against Bronco Nation. Get your tickets HERE (or buy one for your Vandal neighbor...they’ll love it)
